Note:  Due to application process, building permits will not be written after 3:15 p.m.

What We Do:

  • We provide information on zoning classifications

     

  • Give floodplain determinations for an unincorporated area of the county

     

  • Issue building permits and zoning compliances for construction projects

     

  • Issue sign permits

     

  • Review site plans and subdivision plats for new development

     

  • Assign addresses for most areas of the county

     

  • Investigate alleged zoning violations

     

Driving Directions:



​From I-65, head West on HIghway 44, also known as E 4th Street.  After going over the railroad tracks take your next left onto Frank E. Simon Ave.  Our building is located in between the Judicial Center and the Bullitt County Library.

We are the administrative office for the Bullitt County Joint Planning Commission and Joint Board of Adjustments and process applications for rezoning requests, subdivision review, and variance and conditional use permit applications
